Some quilts come together in a weekend. Others take a little longer. And then there are the ones that sit in the closet, tucked away, waiting for the right season of life to be picked back up again.

Each year, I wait with anticipation for Pantone to announce their color of the year! The Pantone Color of the Year announcement is like a creative prompt from the universe, an invitation to try something new, to stretch beyond my usual color comfort zone, and to see what unexpected beauty can unfold when you follow a spark.

This year, the color was Mocha Mousse!

I’m so excited that QuiltCon is coming to Phoenix in 2025! As a quilter and Phoenix local, this will actually be my first time attending QuiltCon, and I can't wait for so many quilters to visit my hometown.
