There is one snowballed corner to the Willetta Quilt block, and all that is needed to make an big impact is to adjust the angle of your sewn seam on each block!

To truly elevate your Willetta Quilt Pattern and make it an improv masterpiece, it's essential to embrace creativity in your quilting projects. This means letting go of strict rules and guidelines and allowing yourself to experiment!  So, let's dive into how you can infuse your Willetta Quilt Pattern with your own unique flair and creativity.

How to Hack the Willetta Quilt Pattern

When you reach the step in the pattern to add the snowballed corner to the block, you’ll make one small adjustment.  When drawing the diagonal line on the back side of the small square, draw this line in different places on the square.  The important thing to remember is to not go beyond the center line that would be drawn if following the pattern.

Play with the degree of the drawn line, making some shallow and some wider.  The picture below shows some examples.

Then, follow the instructions in the pattern to trim 1/4” away from the seam and press.  Then, make sure you square your quilt block!  Viola!  Way to add some personal flair to your quilt.  And, once you’re comfortable with the playfulness of seeing where your creativity will take you, you can find other patterns where this technique will work!
