Greetings, fellow quilters! Today, I am so thrilled to introduce you to my latest creation, the Willetta Quilt Pattern!!  This quilt pattern is not just about fabric and stitches; it's a journey of self-expression, creativity, and the joy of making lasting works of art.

Inspiration for the Willetta Quilt Pattern

When I began to design this pattern, I had two quilters in mind:  beginners and fabric hoarders!!  I wanted to make a quilt pattern that someone brand new at quilting would feel confident making.  And the simple, bold design with large fabric cuts is perfect for showing off your most treasured fabrics…you know, the fabrics you always think about using but then save for later.

For those eager for a quick finish or beginners diving into the quilting realm, the Willetta Quilt is your ideal quilt pattern. The straightforward block construction ensures a satisfying project finish, but the impact lasts a lifetime. Every stitch contributes to a quilted legacy that you can pass down.

The Willetta Samples!

I made three sample quilts while preparing this quilt pattern and each one shows off a different side of the Willetta Quilt.

First up, I tested the pattern making a baby sized using my favorite color combo - pink and green.  This quilt also includes some fun prints — I mean just look at those cute little apples!!!!

Next up might just be my favorite quilt I’ve ever made!  This beauty is all solids — bright and bold colors set on a black background fabric.  And boy do those colors pop!!!  I’m obsessed.  

The other cool thing about this quilt is that it shows off a fun little pattern hack.  If you sew the triangles on at different angles, it gives the quilt a bit of an improv look.  Keep your eye out for an upcoming tutorial on how to do this yourself!

Last up is the cover quilt.  I selected a subtle color palette of Kona Cottons and paired them with my favorite background fabric - Kona in Natural.

All of these quilts were quilted by my step-mom using the Bangkok panto and they all look amazing!!!  I’m also quite obsessed with this quilting!
