Orangewood Quilt Pattern
The Orangewood Quilt pattern was the second quilt pattern I released. :).
The rainbow Orangewood Quilt was the inspiration behind this pattern. I wanted to make a rainbow quilt for my sister and wanted a simple, yet bold pattern that allowed the rainbow to really stand out.
As the pattern was coming to life, I was really excited about how versatile it can be.
Even though the rainbow version was the inspiration, it actually wasn't the first one made. Believe it or not, the Dear Stella excavator version was the first one that I made. As I was drawing up the pattern and working out the math, this fabric line released and I knew my son would be all about it!! It was the perfect opportunity to test my design and surprise the little guy with a fun quilt.
Then came the cover quilt! I wanted to see how the pattern looked in an ombre version.
I absolutely love the Bonnie Christine Open Road fabric collection and built the blue palette from that print. I'm also a sucker for linen, and this quilt has a lot of it :)
Thank you so much for reading along! I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I do!
I always love to see what you make! Please use the tags #nolliebeanpatterns and #orangewoodquilt when you share your progress.
Please feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions or tips to share! I love to hear from you!
