Lamar Quilt Pattern
The Lamar Quilt Pattern has arrived! Click here to pick up your copy!
The Lamar Quilt Pattern is the ninth quilt pattern for Nollie + Bean, and it is a fun one. This is a great pattern to turn to if you're looking for a fast finish.
Inspiration for this quilt came from looking at pictures of fabric strips. When browsing through Pinterest and Instagram, I kept coming across gorgeous photos with strips of fabric and felt inspired to design something that used strip piecing.
There are a few half square triangles added into the pattern for a little extra detail and to create some additional movement for the eye.
The Lamar Quilt Pattern is available in four sizes - including the first Wall Hanging for Nollie + Bean! And, for all those who are not fans of asymmetrical designs - there will be a pattern hack to make 4 wall hangings and then sew them together to make one symmetrical quilt :)
Now, let's talk about this cover quilt! The fabric pull was built around this gorgeous Rifle Paper Co. print (it's also the backing!). It's no secret that I love her floral illustrations and the colors this print came out in during the Garden Party collection are stunning!
I wanted to keep the rest of the quilt solid fabrics to really let the print stand out and I selected some really rich solids - a palette that was definitely new to me!
Once the top was sewn up, it went to my step-mom's long arm for some special treatment! The quilting is so pretty!! I just love the texture that you get from a long arm!
And, yes....you guessed it! Rifle Paper Co. for the binding as well. :)
I'll be blogging about the other Lamar Quilts that I've made - including the one that inspired it's name over the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy this quilt pattern as much as I do!! Someone who has tested nearly all of Nollie + Bean's patterns shared that her husband said it is his favorite one (which really made my day)!!!
