I am so excited to start bringing you a block-of-the-month pattern each month! I have been dreaming about writing a sampler quilt or block-of-the-month style quilt pattern for a couple of years now. But for one reason or another, life would get in the way of completing it.
Also, each time I sat down to design a sampler style quilt, I would think about how each block could make a cool quilt on its own, so then naturally I would want to write that pattern. Anywho, after trying to work this out for the past couple of years, I finally settled on releasing a block-of-the-month pattern each month. At the end of each year, instructions will be provided to bring it all together into a sampler quilt AND each block pattern will include ideas for projects and a framework to make a stand alone quilt for that block. Let’s dive into the details!
How Does the Block of the Month Club Work?
Let's take a closer look at how the quilt of the month club works. Each month a new quilt block will be available on the website. The block pattern will be available for individual purchase via an instant digital download - there is nothing to sign up for or subscribe to.
At the end of the year, instructions will be available to make a quilt with all of your blocks. These patterns are thoughtfully chosen to enhance your quilting skills, providing an opportunity for growth and development with every project.

You can explore making the block in different color ways, using the block in a new sewing project, make a quilt using the block as your foundation design, or save the block for the sampler quilt instructions that will be provided at the end of the year!
Follow along as I make three different quilts this year during the Block of the Month Club.
- I’ll be diving into my scrap bin to make a scrappy AF quilt
- Using a fabric pull to make a quilt following the traditional color way each block is designed in
- And, using another colorful fabric pull, but following the 2-color instructions for each block. I think I’m most excited to see how this quilt turns out at the end of the year!!
