Cinnabar Quilt: The Sleepy Bear One

Sometimes quilts design themselves, and that's what happened with this Cinnabar quilt. I fell in love with the backing fabric and knew this was the perfect pattern to use!
Here is the gorgeous backing! It's part of the Dear Stella Brave Enough to Dream line and I cannot get enough of it! The sleepy forest setting in watercolor speaks to my soul and it had to become a Cinnabar Quilt with those big desert stars!
I then selected fabrics that complimented the color palette of that gorgeous backing fabric and set off to make a bunch of half square triangles.
I wanted this quilt to feel super cozy so I decided to keep the quilting loose and went with some large horizontal zig zags. And this quilt is finished with big, chunky stitched binding.
Then, naturally, we had to take the quilt out on the trail to snap a few pictures!
And as much as I love this quilt, I've decided to include it in my first ever quilt sale.
