Aster Quilt Pattern
The Aster Quilt pattern is ready and I'm so excited to share it with you! I'm very proud of this quilt patten and it will always hold a special place for me. Timing of world events will also stick with my memory of this pattern process, and I hope that you and your family are safe, healthy, and happy.
I'm a sucker for the natural beauty found in the world around us. Being a life long desert dweller, cacti and succulents always have a special place in my heart. This quilt block was inspired by the natural spiral blooms of a succulent.
And, the inspiration behind the name for this quilt comes from a very good friend of mine who also loves these beautiful plants!
Fun Fact! All of my quilts are named after streets in Phoenix :)
I chose a very springy mix of Kona solids to test out my idea and math for this quilt block. Once the pieces started coming together, the orange and pink also seemed pretty reminiscent of the 80s :)
Anyhow, this quilt came together so quickly and I was excited to tackle a few more!
Next up came the purple Aster. I don't tend to use purple in my quilts too often, but this palette just felt right.
I chose to quilt this one with wide horizontal zigzags, my go-to for a super snuggly quilt.
Thank you so much for following along on my creative journey for the Aster Quilt pattern. I hope you enjoy it and I can't wait to see what you make!
